Torrey Pines Gliderport

You and your significant other can go to Torrey Pines Gliderport for paragliding. This has been the number one paragliding school in America since 2000. As a city-owned private-use glider airport, the view is amazing from the sky and the ground. Located next to Black’s Beach, when you get there you have the option of taking lessons, flying tandem or take in the view of San Diego’s Black’s Beach. If you and your honey get hungry after all of that adventure, the Cliffhanger Cafe has food to munch on while enjoying views of the water and others partaking in paragliding.

Balboa Park

With museums, gardens, attractions and performing arts, Balboa Park is a romantic date for two as you and your honey walk around the park to enjoy all that it offers. This may have to be a two day date with all there is to do here. There are 15 museums, a zoo, a carousel, lawn bowling, cultural centers and a miniature railroad ride. You can go on a romantic walk through the multiple gardens or the botanical building, with over 2000 species. Plan a night with Hornblower Cruises, where you can enjoy an evening for two cruising along the San Diego Bay. The cruises leave from San Diego Grape Street Pier, and depart at 6:30 pm. The departing dock is walking distance from downtown San Diego hotels, and the cruise lasts for three hours. There are seven ships, and the dinner cruise ship, Lord Hornblower, is inspired by historic steamships.

Coronado Municipal Beach

This one of the top beaches in the US, with a lot of sand to stroll on. You can bring your dog with you because North Beach is dog friendly and it’s also great for surfing in the summer. Central Beach is the main part that is usually crowded, and it runs along Ocean Boulevard south to Hotel Del Coronado. Mount Soledad:

 As a memorial for the Korean War veterans, Mount Soledad has walls paved with black granite blacks to honors those who served in the war. How is this a romantic date place? La Jolla Kayak:

Torrey Pines State Beach and Park:

Open from 7:15 am to about sunset, this park has about eight miles of trails for a romantic hike. Three hundred feet below is a beach for more romantic strolling. Keep in mind that food and drinks are not allowed at the park.

The Gondola Company:

Be serenaded on a gondola ride with your date at The Gondola Company. You’ll have gorgeous scenery, views of beautiful homes and drink fantastic wine (make sure to bring your favorite wine). Blankets are also provided with italian style appetizers and a dessert plate with chocolate covered strawberries. Your gondola ride will last about 50 minutes and they start at 3 pm and end at midnight.

Cabrillo National Monument:

Walk up the cliffs of Pt. Loma Peninsula where you’ll find the Cabrillo National Monument. You’ll have a breathtaking view of the San Diego Bay, downtown San Diego, and the mountains. You won’t miss the statue of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo who was a portuguese explorer.
